Ingredients:
- 4 cups water
- 3/4 cup honey
- 3/4 cups sugar
- 2 teaspoons dried lavender buds
- 6 cups vanilla low-fat frozen yogurt
- Fresh lavender sprigs (optional)
Instructions:
- Bring water, honey and sugar to boil while stirring so the sugar dissolves. Use a Dutch Oven if you have one. Stir in lavender buds and then the nectarines. Reduce the heat and simmer 8 minutes or until nectarines are just tender. Make sure not to overcook. Remove the nectarines from the pan with a slotted spoon, reserving the liquid in pan.
- Bring the liquid to a boil, and cook until reduced to 3 cups (about 10 minutes). Cool slightly and serve the syrup with nectarines and yogurt. Garnish with fresh lavender if you like!
